Reach Out

I spent 30 years building a career — and the next few unlearning why I thought that mattered so much. I'm still figuring out how to let a day unfold without needing to justify it. But I try.

These days, you'll find me enjoying life on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with my wife, Carolyn, our labradoodle, Guinness — who has fully mastered doing nothing — and frequent visits from our kids,
Jonah and Nora.

If something in the book made you stop — or helped you feel a little less alone — I'd love to hear from you.

I may not reply right away (setting my status to Away is still a practice), but I read every message.
